The IR proximity module uses an onboard IR emitter and detector to measure infrared reflection from nearby objects. The detection range can be manual adjusted using the knob potentiometer to detect objects within 2 - 30cm range at a max angle of 35°.
Flexible power input allows either 3.3V or 5V supply to power the module for maximum compatibility.
The sensor can also be adapter for white line detection using low settings on the potentiometer.
